Recently, I finished a shoot in which I got to take a few steps back in history, to the time of the great photographer Mathew Brady.
My client's goal (and therefore my goal as well): to reproduce the feeling and atmosphere of a civil war portrait shoot, and take photos in the style of a Civil War-era Cabinet Card. In order to do this, I set up my portable studio, took the photos, and then returned home for the editing. A little antiquing, and some photoshop to make the frame. Done. Mission accomplished. |
